I just got an email from one of my Technical Writing professors in which she basically tells me to rewrite the whole thing. This is part of a huge project that's been going on for the entire semester, and I'm completely over it. I just don't want to do this anymore.
The company we've been working with didn't even give us proper perimeters for this project. When they initially discussed the potential topics, they weren't going to give us copies of the information. It's like pulling teeth to get answers from them about how they run the company (how can we propose a new way to do something at a company when we don't know how you do it currently?). Instead of putting people that have no knowledge of the subject in charge of directing the flow of information to the students, maybe they should have had subject matter experts there to answer questions.
I don't care if we win the "grand prize" of maybe $100 or so at the end. I just want to be through and make an A. Seriously.
Our presentation is Monday and we still have loads of work to do, but my team has been almost no help. I don't care if they read this. They know it's true. I'm the one who made the powerpoint, wrote the proposal re-wrote the proposal when they told us they didn't like our idea, designed every single document, created the solutions to the problems, did about half of the research, created the logo, tag line, and visual style of the whole project, created several versions of everything so they could have choices, printed everything, edited, re-edited, re-re-re-re-edited.
I kind of wish I hadn't had a group so I could have just done it all myself how I wanted, and would have gotten all of the justly deserved credit. If I don't make an A on this, I will probably go nuts.
Thank you and goodnight.

Stalling
at

Well I'm stalling from doing my proposal for Tech Writing. I'm so bad about procrastinating. I think I'm in a very "blah" type of mood, despite having laid out in the sun for an hour earlier (working on my tan, haha).

Brighter, Happier, Distorted.

So I posted in my old blog to state that I'm no longer posting in it, and I have moved here. Before I did, though, I read through a couple of years' worth of entries. I realized that I miss the simplicity of those times, but I wonder if one day I will miss the simplicity of these times. As we age, the past becomes brighter and blurs until it reaches a level of false nirvana.
I wonder if when I'm 80, if I can still read this, what feelings I will have. I wonder if I will make it to 80.
I'm supposed to be working on a paper for school, but I have decided to put it off because I am lazy. Or maybe it's that I am not motivated to write an Executive Summary for a proposal document.
I read in my old livejournal about my feelings toward people with whom I no longer have contact. I guess I miss some of them.

Tech Writing
at
2:16 PM
Well, I'm doing some blogging during Tech Writing. I should probably be working on my paper, which I turned in a half-finished rough draft today. Then again, I worked on it all weekend, so bump that mug!
I went to see "The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions" last night with my sister, her husband and my lady. They did some trotting and prancing. Also, they pooped around the place. I think this is probably the only venue where people ever pay real people money to go see animals take dumps while prancing around.I guess if people paid money to see me poop, I'd be prancing too. Overall, it was a good show, and the popcorn was delicious!
I've been listening to the Harry Potter audio books recently (just started #4 today), and I've been thinking that it would be totally awesome to have an owl that could deliver letters and actually accept commands. And not bite me. And also that I could do magic.
