Just Anything

I'm sitting on my purple leather couch, which was given to me by my parents, and was part of the cause of my first car wreck. My lady, Michelle, is standing outside in the snow and ice, wearing my teal flip-flops and feeding birds on the patio. She only started feeding the birds this week. I believe it's out of boredom, but she says that it's because she wants to help the poor little critters. The recent icy, then snowy, then snowy icy weather made driving impractical and dangerous. Everywhere I go, I overhear people talking to each other about their experiences with the icy roads, as if they were hardened drivers, crystalized by the terror of the North Texas snow.

Right now, one of Michelle's cats is staring at a mockingbird through a plate glass door. The bird's chest is puffed out, defiant, cautious. The bird hops down to where Michelle had placed the stale crushed snickerdoodles five minutes ago. I'm trying to write something, just anything to create journal entries for my fiction class. I pretty much hate most of what I'm writing these days. I feel like I have no purpose or direction as a writer. I've been abandoned by words.

We've been holding this moment for you.

Last night, Michelle, Natalia and I went to see Clash of the Titans, which wasn't all that great. I definitely like the original more.  What does bother me about both movies, though, is that the Kraken wasn't even in Greek mythology. Also, there isn't even one appearance by one Titan in either movie.  So it goes.

I've been doing laundry all day, watching Law & Order. I think I may have seen every single episode (excluding episodes released within the past 2 or 3 years).  Also, I started playing "Ico" again.  By "again," I mean that I finally decided to play through for more than an hour. It's kind of a hard game to get into, even if you like the prequel, "Shadow of the Colossus."

Time to go outside and do something fun!  Bye.

I think we should add (and wet) to every holiday name somehow.

Well it's been a little while since I made a blog post.  I guess I've just not had anything to write about the past couple of days.  Anyway, for the past few days, Michelle and I have attempted to go play tennis on one of the courts they have at my apartments, but the courts are always booked.  So she has today off; we figure that we'll find SOME time to go play today.

And it's raining. Awesome.  "Good (and wet) Friday." Maybe we'll go to a mall and play some mini golf instead.

By the way, have you seen the latest Celebrities Without Eyebrows? A couple of my favorite TV show hosts are on there!

I bought a new 8 GB flash drive the other day, and it absolutely blows my mind that we can store SO much information in such a small place. Every time I think of it, I'm reminded of my mom talking about this quote from Star Trek in which Spock holds up something of similar size and states "This has all the earth's information in it" or something to that effect. THE FUTURE is here!  Now we just need some jetpacks and transporters!  Come on, science!

So today is my second anniversary of dating Michelle, but I'm at school all day today, and she's working. We celebrated yesterday at Fogo De Chao, which was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. If you are a vegetarian, you would not want to go there, because pretty much the only thing they have is delicious meat! It's totally awesome because they just come around and give you meat whenever you want.



See that? It's wonderful.

Anyway, I'm starting the fifth Harry Potter audiobook today. I love audiobooks! I like all the funny voices.
